The Journey

Thushara Deepal is a musician and educator with extensive experience in performance and music education across diverse traditions. Currently studying at a European conservatory, he demonstrates a strong commitment to mastering multiple musical languages and artistic practices. As an innovative educator, composer, and performer, he creates immersive experiences that engage audiences through distinct Eastern and Western musical perspectives. As the only Sri Lankan student at his conservatory, he has independently navigated and sustained his artistic and academic journey, while also engaging in research, organization, and creative development. His work aims to open pathways for future students from Sri Lanka and South Asia, creating greater accessibility and opportunities within European music education.

Ik volg flamenco guitararlessen bij Thushara. Met zijn enorme passie en gedledl weet hij op een tremendous manier de skills die nodig zijn om flamenco gitaar te leren spelen over te bringen. Door zijn en-thousiasme weet hij de juiste snaar te raken, so that het leren spelen een hele leuke zassehen wordt. Ik kan Thushara dan ook van harte aanbevelen voor oud en jong.
