How can we create the Future of Storytelling?

I’m proud to be a part of the Future Storytelling Lab Showcase this year and excited to perform alongside such a diverse group of artists and creators. Over the past months, we explored new ideas, experimented with storytelling, sound, space, and performance, and imagined different possibilities for the future. Looking forward to sharing this experience and our work with everyone on June 5th.

“Fly from Island” - Book Launching in Music

After a long journey filled with dedication, struggle, learning, and growth, I am deeply grateful to finally share this special milestone.

I am honoured to present my final programme at ArtEZ Conservatory 2026 — a concert that represents years of hard work, artistic exploration, challenges, and beautiful musical discoveries.This programme also marks the launch of my book, “Fly from Island”, a reflection of my personal and musical journey through distance, perseverance, identity, and passion for music.This is more than a performance. It is a story of transformation, resilience, and dreams carried across borders through music and art.

Fly From Island

This book begins with fading childhood memories, but one thing always remained clear: music. Growing up in rural Sri Lanka through poverty, instability, and emotional distance, music became my source of comfort and direction.

Despite many challenges, I became the first in my family to enter university, later worked abroad as a teacher, and eventually moved to Europe to study music at a conservatory.

“Fly from Island” is more than a personal story. It is a reflection on resilience, inequality, and the search for a path beyond limitation – written for anyone who has ever felt uncertain, unsupported, or overlooked, yet continued moving forward.
